TTU Kappa Sigma Endowed Scholarship Fund Announces 2026 Recipients

The Trustees of the TTU Kappa Sigma Endowed Scholarship Fund are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 scholarship awards, recognizing undergraduate brothers who exemplify academic achievement, leadership, service, and commitment to the values of the Kappa Mu Chapter.
Hunter Goins, a senior Mechanical Engineering major from Cleveland, Tennessee, has been selected as the recipient of the John David Dudley Scholarship. The Dudley Scholarship honors an outstanding member of Kappa Sigma who demonstrates a commitment to the principles and ideals outlined in the Star and Crescent. The 2026 Dudley Scholarship award is $6,000.
Sabastian Holland, a senior Mechanical Engineering major from Arrington, Tennessee, was awarded a $1,000 General Scholarship in recognition of his outstanding fraternal achievements and dedication to the chapter. Sabastian’s service as Master of the Ritual and his commitment to preserving the traditions and values of Kappa Sigma distinguished him among this year’s applicants.
Canann Gibson, a sophomore Chemistry major from Baxter, Tennessee, has been selected as the recipient of the Earl Briley Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes an exceptional first-year initiate who has demonstrated outstanding involvement and promise within the chapter. The 2026 Briley Scholarship award is $1,000.
Established in September 1999 through Tennessee Technological University’s Office of University Advancement, the Kappa Sigma Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to provide annual scholarship assistance to dedicated and academically deserving members of the Kappa Mu Chapter. Over the years, several named scholarships have been established within the fund to honor and memorialize brothers of Kappa Sigma.
Since awarding its first scholarship in 2001, the Fund has provided more than $114,000 in scholarship assistance to deserving undergraduate brothers at Tennessee Tech. As of December 31, 2025, the TTU Kappa Sigma Endowed Scholarship Fund had grown to a market value exceeding $308,000, ensuring continued support for future generations of Kappa Mu brothers.
