The Kappa Mu Chapter of Kappa Sigma at Tennessee Technological University has once again been recognized among the fraternity's elite undergraduate chapters by earning the Founders' Award of Chapter Excellence (F.A.C.E.) for the 2025–2026 academic year. This marks the third time the chapter has received Kappa Sigma's highest honor for undergraduate chapter achievement, having previously earned the award in 2022, 2023, and now 2026.

The F.A.C.E. Award is the national benchmark of excellence for Kappa Sigma chapters across North America. Presented annually, it recognizes chapters that demonstrate exceptional performance in chapter operations, academic achievement, recruitment, leadership, community service, philanthropy, and adherence to the fraternity's traditions. Only approximately the top 10 percent of Kappa Sigma's active chapters meet the rigorous standards required to receive this distinction.
Kappa Mu's accomplishments during the past academic year reflect the chapter's commitment to living the values of the Star and Crescent. The chapter's 91 undergraduate members contributed more than $97,000 to charitable organizations, raised over $17,000 for veterans' charities through Kappa Sigma's Military Heroes Campaign, and completed more than 12,600 hours of community service.
To qualify for the F.A.C.E. Award, chapters must meet demanding performance standards throughout the academic year in several key areas, including maintaining a chapter grade point average above the all-men's campus average, supporting national philanthropic initiatives, completing significant community service through the A Greater Cause program, demonstrating excellence in ritual and chapter operations, and sustaining strong recruitment and membership.
Earning the Founders' Award of Chapter Excellence is a testament to the dedication and leadership of every Kappa Mu Brother. Their continued commitment to scholarship, service, philanthropy, and brotherhood has once again placed the chapter among the very best in Kappa Sigma, bringing distinction to both the fraternity and Tennessee Technological University.
