5th Annual TTU Kappa Sigma Golf Tournament
June 29, 2002

The TTU Kappa Sigma Alumni Association hosted the 5th annual golf tournament on Saturday, June 29 at the White Planes Golf Course in Cookeville, Tennessee. Fifty four golfers took to the course and raised over $1400 to benefit the Kappa Sigma General Scholarship Fund.

In a mild upset, the team of Wade Munday, Dean Woodward, Jon Crye, and Mike "Long Ball" Rucker took home the honors for the 2002 event by posting the low score of 14 under par (58). Early tournament favorites, Lynn McCoy, Cam Stinnett, Brad Roberson and Scott VanWinkle finished with a disappointing 12 under par (60) to claim second place and proving once and for all that age and experience does triumph over the vim and vigor of youth. Four teams finished at 62 for third place. Individual honors included: Jon Crye for closest to the pin on #11, Bobby Garrison for closest to the pin on #14, and the longest drive to Kevin Harmon.A BBQ lunch immediately followed the tournament and the annual undergraduate summer party followed that evening.
