History
In 1977, the Kappa Mu Chapter Housing Corporation was formed by alumni Charles Lane Miller, Fred D. Boyd, William B. Ray Jr., and David Goff. These four men, along with Matthew Niggeler III, Glenn Morris, and Rufus Gonder, formed the initial board of directors. The original charter called for this organization "To organize, conduct and carry on various plans, efforts, and undertakings for the general moral, mental and physical well being and improvement of its members and of the community in which they live."

In 1989, the officers of the housing corporation signed to purchase the fraternity house located at 525 North Walnut in Cookeville from Mrs. Crawford. Officers signing this resolution included: Bentley Rowden, David Richardson, Larry Kidwell, Phil Carson, and Marty Bradley.

In 2000, the housing corporation adopted the name, TTU Kappa Sigma Alumni Association, to more accurately reflect the current activities of the organization.
